  1. Work with your mind first. Your body and mind must be at one. You can try meditating in a silent area.

  2. I'm not really sure specific in what you should do, but I'll give you an example of what I did when I was training hard for karate:

    Day 1: HARD

Morning - 30 min Cardio (usually a circuit or bag sparring)

Afternoon - 5 to 10 min Skipping; 1 hour Weight training

    Night - Max Pushups

    Day 2: MEDIUM/HARD

Morning - 30 min Kata and Weaponry

Afternoon - 10 to 20 min Cycling; Karate training

    Night - Max Situps

    Day 3: EASY/MEDIUM

    Morning - Skip 1 min hard; rest 2 min x 5+

Afternoon - 10 minute jog (light); 1 hour Weight training

    Night - Max Pushups

    Day 4: MEDIUM/HARD

Morning - 30 min Cardio (usually circuit or bag sparring)

Afternoon - 10 to 20 min Cycling; Karate training

    Night - Max Situps

    Day 5: HARD

Morning - 30 min Kata and Weaponry

Afternoon - 2 min rounds bag sparring (as many as possible)

    Night - Max Pushups

    Day 6: HARD

    Morning - 1 hour Grading/Competition training

Afternoon - 5 to 10 min Skipping; 1 hour Weight training

    Night - REST

    Day 7:

    REST

But need to eat REALLY well!! If not, easy to burn out. So keep up (or increase) your iron and protien intake as well as lots of fluids.

I was only using light weights (all dumbbell exercises: Arms 4kg each, Legs 8 kg, Abs vary between 2.5 to 5kg) though and with sparring training, I only went to what I felt comfortable with for the day. Some days I could last 6 or 7 rounds, others 3, but I tried to have as little rest as possible because that was for a grading and had 10 fights one after the other to do for 1:30min each.

I did this for about a month and for someone who can not run, I started off lasting only 5 minutes to running nearly 30 minutes and that was using skipping as my primary source of cardio rather then jogging or cycling.

Also stretch after every session and get as much sleep as possible too.

(Aiming to get back to this or more soon, got a grading in 2 months - low kyu rank one for club that I do extra training at - another in 5 months - high kyu rank - and a comp in 5 months also)
