Martial arts professional Troy Lavalley to fight in his third MMA bout – MMA News
Mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Troy Lavalley, participating in combat sports has been his dream. He took part in wrestling matches at his school and also got training in Jiu-Jitsu. Later he entered the world of kickboxing, giving
him more aspects of combat sports. The 35-year old Lavalley will be taking part in an MMA fight on December 3, 2011. His opponent in the fight would be Cody Moliger. For Lavalley, he has been a professional martial arts fighter for the two years.
Canadian Lavelley has been martial arts professional and entered in the MMA category recently. This fight against Moliger will be the third time Lavalley will be part of the MMA fight. His fight will be held in Regina, which is
the capital city of Saskatchewan in Canada. Lavalley also resides in Canada and fighting in front of his hometown will be a real thrill. Lavalley said “I wrestled in high school, after high school, I started training in jiu-jitsu. I trained in jiu-jitsu for
a couple years, and then I moved to the United States and I started kickboxing.”
For Lavalley, the changeover from martial arts to mixed martial arts was not that difficult. He was a fan of martial arts and when the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) telecasted MMA fights, his interest in the combat sports
further grew. Lavalley said, “We’ve been watching the UFC since the beginning—UFC 2 is when we started watching. The sport was growing so much—all of my friends in the States and all of my buddies up here were doing it”
The MMA fighter from Canada has been balancing his life pretty well. He has been a stakeholder in a drilling company where he has been the co-owner. Recently he started a company related to environment and cleaning up the mess.
He is also co-owner of the Complete Martial Arts and Fitness centre. Martial arts has been a major part of his life as he has been part of the Saturday Night Fights promotion as a fighter and a co-promoter.
He would use his hometown support to his advantage. He would certainly want to win the bout, which is his third MMA fight. He may be thinking to enter the UFC but that is something of the future. At the moment, Lavalley would be
in pursuit to win his third MMA match and gather momentum in his career.
