Martin Aspinwall inks a deal with Hull FC - Rugby League news
Hull FC announced on Thursday, November 10, the signing of former Great Britain international, Martin Aspinwall. The news was celebrated within Hulls’ quarters because many of rival franchises had been eyeing the player for quite some time.
The celebrations were not only restricted to the Hulls’ alone but the player himself wanted to end up playing for the club, which explains why he immediately agreed to a deal as soon as it was broken to him.
While sharing his views over the latest happenings within his professional life, Aspinwall stated, "Once I was told of their interest that was the place I wanted to go. They have signed some good players, there is a new coach, a new regime and it all seems
very positive from the outside so it seemed like the right move for me and something I wanted to be part of. It's very humbling and a privilege to be part of this club, with the tradition and the history they have got. It's a massive club - the fan base, the
facilities, the stadium"
It is not only restricted to that alone, but the club has officiallly marched into its new regime which is ambitioning to reach out newer boundaries.
The player further added that with all the facilities available at the franchise, which supports a rich tradition and professional ethics, this is all a player could ever dream of. He shared that he is well aware of how the club is planning out its future
by improving their already soaring performance. He said that he will never say that with his inclusion he will bring trophies but he is happy to go along for the ride.
Hull's director of rugby, Shaun McRae, appreciated that Aspinwall has the ability to make the most of the opportunity at Hull and seems willing to make the best out of the fresh start. The player is well-known for his ferocity and aggression which will complement
the quality of players around him on field.
McRae further added that the player managed to impress him through his conduct over the past couple of weeks, which had convinced them a great deal in playing a role.
