Martin Brundle - c**p Commentator?

No one likes him apart of McLaren of course. His comments about Alonso and Ferrari - no wonder why no one wants to talk to him any more.

He realised that Kubica is not Kubika but Kubitza after 8 grand prix!!! Every body around did know how to call most promising guy on the grid and still Brundle was calling "Kubika".

Just imagine Gary Lineker not knowing how to say Ronaldinho or Berbatov. This guy is unbelievable!

Another thing - who many interviews he had on the grid with drivers recently? Just watch Belgium. I bet he will get Renault boss and some engineer and rest will tell him - kiss off m8... Just watch.

Are you glad that F1 belongs to BBC from next season? Because I am...

  1. Brundle is a very good race commentator, as a recent comparison with Damon "Mr Wooden-Top" Hill would show. Ok, so he's no James Hunt, and yes he is being ostracised by most of the drivers because he's been doing the job for too long and has criticised everybody wrongly at least once. He also picked the wrong side in the McLaren/Ferrari battle, which hasn't helped him.

The point is that overall, British F1 viewers have been lucky to have him for the last decade or so, TV commentary in other countries just isn't up to the same standard.

  2. Mr. McLaren Brundle, give him his right name please. Not just him but watch all their eyes light up when they mention Ron's love child or any other thing to do with English racers etc. Personally ill be glad when it moves but rest assured when it does there will be more happy faces when the boy wonder gives another of his annoying interviews etc. Bernie big boss might not like it but look out for G HILL bringing his talent to the Beeb.next year, another driver who relied on team orders to win his title but he is English as well,  nuff said.

  3. .

I always enjoyed his commentary. Always informed and insightful, but I now watch the F1 on Star Sports and have done for the last 10 years.

Last time I was back in the UK he was still good.

Saying someone's name incorrectly is hardly a crime when Murray once said "and the beak of Ayrton Senna's chicken..."

  4. Isn't it usually James Allen who gets critisized by fans? Well... Kubica has actually said he doesn't mind being called "Kubika" cause it sounds fast, compared to "Koobeesa". I don't think he's all that bad but he could improve. He and James could stop giving too much airtime to Hamilton for starters and pay attention to the race a little bit more. Sometimes when they are talking about something, there's action on the track and they ignore it for a while. Overall, they are doing OK... I've heard much worse commentary

  5. I like Brundle, hes a commentator who says what he thinks and he should know, he started in 158 Grand Prixs. Yes he make errors but name me a commentator who doesn't.

Personally, I hope he, Louise Goodman and Ted Kravitz keep their jobs.

Like Others said James Allen is the worst one for errors, lack of knowledge, driver recognition..

  6. I think you're wrong and if you asked the majority of viewers they would tell you that he is one of the few factors of ITV coverage they want to see carried over.

  7. haha, i dont know much about coverage in England or other countries but in the U.S. its the same thing.  Everybody is just hating on Ferrari and saying that Mclaren is getting cheated by the officials, and that Ferrari is getting special treatment.  Especially after Hamilton got penalized for cutting the track at Magny Cours and Ferrari wasnt penalized for Raikkonens exaust which was broken.  Some people just need to calm down and watch the race.

  8. No way he's one of the very few who knows what he is on about unlike James Allen
