The former Barcelona star delighted to be playing alongside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Del-Piero-c4726, Andrea Pirlo and Marco Borriello, and all praise for Antonio Conte’s team
Juventus defender, Martin Caceres, believes that there is a big difference between the current side and the one he played for a couple of years back.
Caceres re-joined the Turin giants on-loan from Sevilla in the January transfer window, having represented them in the 2009/10 season too. The Uruguayan enjoyed a fantastic debut against A.C Milan in the first-leg of the semi-final of Coppa Italia recently. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 star scored a brace to down the Champions by 2-1.
The defender believes that Antonio Conte’s team is extremely different to what he used to play under Ciro Ferrara. He insisted that only a handful of players are remaining from the team he used to play for, and there is a totally different environment in the dressing room.
The 24-year-old added that it feels great to be playing alongside great players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Borriello-c23672. Juventus are in the race to win the Scudetto, as they remain atop of the league standings and have one foot in the final of Coppa Italia. Caceres is confident that the current squad has the credentials of winning the domestic silverware.
While talking to Tuttosport, Martin Caceres said,
“This is a different Juventus. There is an alternative spirit within the camp. Juve today are very strong and the squad has changed a lot given that there are just five players left from that spell. It’s really satisfying to be able to play alongside people like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Del Piero, Andrea Pirlo and Marco Borriello. We are ready to achieve great things this season.”
Juventus have had a frustrating time since their return to top flight football following their relegation to Serie B. The Old Lady have finished in the 7th spot for two consecutive seasons, and have failed to qualify for the Europe.
However, since appointing Conte as the manager, the lady luck has smiled upon the Old Lady. They are unbeaten in all competitions in the ongoing season.
Juve will face Bologna in their next game on Sunday, January 12, 2012.
