Question:

Martin Logan Purities or Full surround sound?

Here's the story: I'm about to go to college and would like to invest into a nice set of speakers. My problem is that I am torn between the infamous Martin Logan Purity speakers ($3000/ pr) and a full surround system for about the same price. (Klipsch Rf-82s plus rs42 surrounds, rc-52 center, and rw10 sub with a nice receiver.) The fact is that the Logans are probably the cleanest sounding speakers i have ever listen to yet would mainly be used for music and some movie use. Being that I am about to go to college I would not be able to use a full surround system too often, yet the towers would be easy for movie or music set up. What do you think?

  1. Boy I hope your DAD has the money to buy you those....

And I hope your College buddies don't rip you off....

    And I hope....

I hope you keep them at home....and just get a set of Bookshelf speakers, which you will use in your garage IN YOUR NEW HOME AFTER you GRADUATE.....

THEN you can be more selective about your buddies too...

Your friends won't be bringing "friends of my friends".....

And Johnny Ripoff won't get a hold of them....
