  1. I'm gonna say midieval man...we're talking what, the 1400's?  Martin Luther kicked ***, because he rebelled against the church and told them that they were wrong.  He was eventually excommunicated from the church.  Something about the Edict of Worms (which has nothing to do with actual worms).  Etc, etc.

  2. Martin Luther was from Germany, and he started the Lutheran Religion, which is a denomination of Christianity.  I happen to have been raised Lutheran.  I think he was more of a modern man, personally.  From my experiences in the church, it is an accepting religion that teaches God can be a friend as well as a big strong god.  In my denomination of Lutheranism, there was very little speculation on the end of the world, unlike most religions.  I think this view is actually very modern and philosophical.  I think it proves that we can just put that worry behind us, and whatever happens is in God's hands.

  3. Martin Luther eloquently displays the power of one..He almost singlehandedly brought free thinking out of the dark ages....By publicly separating himself from the Roman Catholic church, the Protestant movement allowed everyone to seek and study the word of God,, this singular act, diminished the final hold Rome( Through the Catholic Church) had on European culture. This act eventually caused many Catholic countries to seek new sources of power, thus the expedition of Christopher Columbus... Martin Luther was a modern man in a medieval time.

  4. Martin Luther is the one that reformed some church. I think it was in Germany, or some where around there.
