Martin O’ Neill bids farewell to Aston Villa

Recently the Aston Villa club has confirmed the retirement of O Neill. The 58-year-old champ manager joined the Aston Villa football club 4 years ago, and turned the football squad into a winning unit. The managerial skills of this Irishman are considered to be imperative for the club because he was the one who helped the club to grab 6th spot in the Premier League’s last season. The retirement of such an important man from the club has certainly brought a strong blow to the club.
At one side the retirement of O’ Neill is creating strong pressure for the club owner and the squad; on the other hand the migration of its key players from Aston Villa to the other premium clubs can also torment the high hopes of the club needed to perform in the new season. The shifting of veteran mid-fielder Gareth Barry to Manchester City football club from Aston Villa last year was also a strong blow for the club. It is reported that the English star James Milner is soon to depart the Villas as well.
The report about the resignation of the famous manager from his all-time favourite club was confirmed by the Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner. His retirement from the club has brought many questions in the minds of fans and followers of Aston Villa. The vital questions’ regarding the future performance of the club has filled the air with suspense. Kevin MacDonald who is currently serving as the reserve team manager will now perform his role as the caretaker manager in the absence of O, Neill and will organize the best possible squad to face West Ham United at Villa Park on Sunday.
After the retirement from his loved football club the champ manager Martin O Neill expressed his deep respect and love for the Aston Villa football club and said that it was a great time for him as he has enjoyed each and every moment of his managing career while working with Aston Villa FC. He added that he is very thankful to the staff and to each and every member who is related to the club. Neill said, his best wishes are with the club and he will be supporting the club to his fullest.
It is to be remembered that under the management of Martin, Villa FC has performed like never before.  Neill had very strong tactical skills, and he turned the squad into one fighting unit. Chief administrator of Aston Villa, Paul Faulkner expressed his views about O Neill, and said that Martin is a great man and the club cannot ignore his efforts. He added that the club is very thankful to him for his remarkable work and efforts.
Martin has definitely brought Aston Villa in the top performing squads of English Premier League. With the retirement of Martin the passion of Aston Villa might fade but whether the new management will be able to keep the hopes and performance high or not, only the time will tell.
