Martin Olsson says pressure will be on Liverpool at Anfield
Blackburn Rovers winger Martin Olsson has said that the pressure will be on Liverpool to perform when the sides meet in the Premier League on Sunday, 24 October.
Sam Allardyce's team are 14th in the league with nine points from eight games, while Liverpool have had a horrendous start and sit in 19th place with six points and only one win so far.
"It's always hard to go to Anfield and pick up points," Olsson said of Sunday's trip to his opponents' legendary ground. "But we should relax about it. The pressure is on Liverpool and there is no pressure
on us. We can go there and enjoy it. If we get one point, that will be fine and three points would be a bonus."
Blackburn did collect one point in their goalless draw against Sunderland on Monday, 18 October, but Allardyce's men have managed to defeat Everton and Stoke City during the current campaign.
Olsson was handed the number three shirt ahead of the season and has featured in all eight league games this season, with four starting appearances so far.
Olsson: Samba sacrificed himself for the team
In Monday's game against Sunderland, team captain Christopher Samba received a red card for preventing Danny Welbeck from scoring.
Allardyce has since defended his player, and Olsson said Samba's foul on Welbeck showed the skipper's commitment to the team.
"Chris is one of our best players and has been playing really well for us. He had to take that foul otherwise the Sunderland player would have gone through to score. Everybody makes mistakes and when you
make mistakes you can't always recover. But nobody blames him. The young players look up to him and we all know how important he is to the team."
