Liverpool defender, Martin Skrtel, has claimed that his side is ready for the crunch English Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at Anfield. The match is being widely regarded as the fifth place decider and the winner will, in all probability,
qualify for the UEFA Europa League next season.

Skrtel praised the team after a brilliant performance against Fulham at Craven Cottage and rated it a very important win. Liverpool won 5-2 in that fixture and are now two points clear of Spurs, following the London side’s loss to Manchester City on Monday.
The Slovakian hailed his side and added that Liverpool played some brilliant attacking football right from the word ‘go’. He added that the home side was never given time to settle down and that he was pleased with the team scoring a lot of goals.
“We wanted to play football from the first minute. Our plan was to score as soon as possible and to control the match. The first half was a great one because we took an early lead. They scored, but we added two more so in the end it was a great win for us,”
he was quoted.
The centre-back expressed his delight on the meaty chances of UEFA Europa League qualification and wants to seal the fifth place berth with a win against Harry Redknapp’s side.
“I am happy that our dream is still alive and we have two more matches to play. This will be a blockbuster against Tottenham. We play in front of our own fans and everyone knows they are great so I believe we have a great chance to beat them. Let's see what
these two matches will bring,” the defender concluded.
Martin Skrtel has scored three goals in 126 appearances for Liverpool.
