Martin Skrtel will not miss Fernando Torres
Liverpool centre back, Martin Skrtel has stated that he feels Liverpool will not miss http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707, since Andy Carroll has replaced the striker.
The Slovak footballer brutally criticised his former teammate’s move, saying that he might end up regretting his high profile transfer to Chelsea, which cost the Blues fifty million pounds. On the contrary, Liverpool went on to spend thirty five million
pounds on bringing in Carroll and nearly another twenty three million pounds on Luis Suarez to replace the Spanish International as the Reds new offensive line-up.
Skrtel is reported to have said, “We have captured Suarez and Carroll. I believe these two will replace him and we will be at least as strong as we were with Nando. We all feel sorry because he's a player of world class ability but, to be honest, it was
no surprise.”
The player then added that he felt that the time for Torres to leave was now or never. He explained, “This season has not been going according to our wishes and expectations and that convinced him that it is the right time to move elsewhere. This is how
he explained it to us. I wish him all the best but do not wish any success to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. Maybe Fernando will regret making this step sometime in the future.”
The most interesting part of this deal is that Torres is now going to debut against his former team, Liverpool, stating that he is destined to score against them. But one man who says that he will do his best to deny Torres the chance of scoring against
the Reds is none other than Skrtel.
The match between the two sides is going to be a heated one for a host of reasons, and the fact that the whole Torres saga has been drawn into it, is going to create a lot more hype.
The game is set to be a tactical wonder show as well, since both the teams will be looking to get the better of each other, with their new found recruits.
Chelsea Manager Carlo Ancelotti is going to have to work around the five attackers he has in his line-up, while utilizing everyone’s potential. On the other hand, Liverpool Head Kenny Dalglish will have to reshape his side, in order for them to be more accommodating
to the much unorthodox Luis Suarez.
At the end of the day, the outcome of the day will be determined by both the tactics that the Managers resort to in the game, and the individual brilliance that now floods in both teams.
Skrtel has made his claims that he won’t let Torres get on the score sheet, but if Torres, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicolas-Anelka-c27786 form any sort of chemistry on the pitch, then it is going to be close to impossible to prevent them
from finding the back of the net.
In contrast, Suarez has gone on to show that he can be a perfect fit in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 side, as he displayed last night, when Liverpool went on to beat Stoke City.
Nonetheless, it can be assuredly said that Skrtel will not be missing Torres, regardless what the score sheet figures say.
