Martina Repiska tames Kristina Averkina in semi-final encounter at Slovak Junior 2012
Slovakia’s in-form shuttler Martina Repiska continued her smooth sailing and reached into Women’s Singles U19 final after showing exit to Russia’s Kristina Averkina at semi-final stage in the Victor Slovak Junior 2012 in Slovakia, on Saturday, November 10.
The second seeded Martina, who remained impressive throughout the tournament, continued her staggering performance and remained successful in winning the semi-final clash with a remarkable fashion in just 29 minutes.
Backed by the support of her home fans, Martina showed aggression on court and she remained successful in winding up the semi-final battle in straight games with a crushing margin on score board.
The lower ranked Kristina, who was third seed in the main draw, could not live up to expectations as she failed to return her rival’s shots in right areas and lost the clash without shaking the confidence of her local opponent.
In the opening set, Martina did not take much time in setting up a reasonable showed attacking display of her craft in the arena.
The hard-to-learn variations in the strokes of Martina assisted her to maintain her superiority against her Russian opponent on court.
Until the one-minute interval, the in-form Martina was leading the game with a comfortable margin on the board.

In the following set, the higher ranked Martina played with tremendous speed and did not spare any chance for her challenger of fighting back into the game.
The impressive Martina was incredibly fast on court and she did not face any problem taking a wonderful lead on the board until the one-minute break.
Second seeded Martina continued putting up stunning show in front of her local fans and took the second game with an amazing margin of 21-10.
Martina emerged as victorious in this semi-final clash in just 29 minutes with a strong 21-15 and 21-10 margin on the board.
