The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 international is looking forward to prove his worth to the Bavarian giants, and believes he has done well until now following a tough start to his Bundesliga career
Bayern Munich defensive midfielder Javi Martinez is ready to showcase his talent and prove that he is worth all the money that the Bavarian outfit paid to Athletic Bilbao in the summer transfer window. He wants to justify the €40
million price tag on him which made him the record signings in the German League.
The holding midfielder claimed that Der FCB were spot on to pay over the odds for him in the summer. However, the young starlet has failed to fulfil his huge potential at the Allianz Arena so far. He admitted that it took his some
time to adjust to life in Munich after leaving his native country.
The star player has stressed that he is under no pressure to perform because of his hefty transfer fee. He further added that he only gets inspiration to perform even better because of this. He said that Bilbao also paid a heavy
fee for him when they signed him but still he established himself as one of the top players there.
"Athletic paid a lot of money for me, too. People think that I feel pressure to live up to my price tag, but it can also serve as a motivation,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
“I want to show that I'm worth the money. It won't be easy, but I'm motivated to do just that," the 2010 La Liga Breakthrough Player of the Year added.
"I'm starting to feel better game by game. I'm not at 100 per cent yet, but things are heading in the right direction. Last season was very long and intensive," he mused.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Martinez-c24468 stated that it is not easy to start playing perfect football from the start and it takes time. Nevertheless, he suggested that he feels at home now and will do his best to help Die Roten win some silverware this term.
He has played 20 games for Bayern until now.
