So for Father's day yesterday, my wife told me she is going to buy me 2 tickets to the Martinsville Race on October 19.. So On October 17, I have the Kevin Harvick Fan Club Gathering , and then on the 19th, I am driving the 40 miles to Martinsville. For anyone that has been there, where is the best place to sit at Martinsville Speedway?

  1. The wife is buying? If you don't have joint checking accounts make her buy tickets at the finish line....as high as you can get!

    Ha ha!

  2. i live 6 miles from the track

    been there alot

midway between 1 and 2 is my preference

but you can see good from anywhere

  3. get the $47.00 backstrech tickets. you'll be very close to the cars, but you'll be able to see the whole track pretty well. but bring earplugs, because none of the seats on the backstrech are very high, so you won't be very far from the cars, the engine noise will be deafening. all the good seats on the front straightaway are already sold out, as are most of the seats up high in the turns.

  4. You are so lucky! We drove 17 hours last year to go there! Any where up high is good! Just don't sit at the bottom & you will be able to see the whole track!!!! HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!

  5. Dude you a luck sob but i dont no were the best place to sit is.

  6. Well there isn't really a bad spot at Martinsville you can see about all the track from where ever you set! I have been there like 5 times!

  7. Anywhere but the lower backstretch seats.  Can't see anything except turns 3 and 4...because you are right down on the track almost.

  8. Martinsville is easily my favorite place to watch a race in person.  You will not believe how intimate a feel it has.  The track is unbelievably tiny.  There is always good racing going on somewhere.  There simply is nowhere to hide.  I always buy my tickets on the streets the morning of the race.  I usually save money and get incredible seats.  There arent many bad seats.  I like the section between turns 3 and 4 because you can see the entire track without swiveling your head. And if you sit on the turn 4 side, you can see pit road. The only bad seats are the low rows in the straightaways.  Other than that, you cant go wrong. I cant wait til October.

  9. Wow, what an awesome father's day present!  Martinsville is my favorite track but unfortunately I haven't had a chance to see a race there in person.  I don't think there are any real bad places to sit, you can see the action from anywhere in the stands as long as you are not down in the first few rows.
