Marvada likely to win Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Brownstown Stakes
Marvada is tipped to prevail in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Brownstown Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies) at Fairyhouse in Ireland on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. A cash prize of €50,375 will be awarded to the winner of the important event.
Speed will be important in the 7 furlong race, which will start at 15:05 GMT. Moreover, the going will be heavy, which will make things a little tricky. A total of six runners have lined up for action, but that count may come down in the end because of the
track conditions.
Looking at the overall record of Marvada, she has been priced 7 to 2 by the bookmakers. She is in good form at the moment, but it will be a challenge for her to perform in these conditions.
The four-year-old filly has participated in 19 events, winning four of them whereas finished runner up on three occasions. In addition to that, she has also secured the third spot once, which shows that she is a fierce competitor and has the ability to challenge
her rivals at the front.
The K. J. Condon’s trained runner made her debut back in 2010 and took part in just one race that season. She was unimpressive that time around and could only manage an eighth place finish out of 14 runners.
However, things worked out extremely well for the Irish filly at the start of next year, as she finished runner up in her first race of the season. She was rated as 50 to 1 back then and was not expected to be strong at all. Despite all that, she managed
to pull off a pleasant surprise for her team.
Just one more race later, Marvada brought up her maiden victory by a head distance. She followed that up with another successful run and her fans were absolutely delighted back then. She managed to win one more race in that season, but has been unable to
continue the similar kind of form this year.
However, the Elusive City’s daughter has got one victory to her name in this season and she also finished runner up last time around, which would have given her a lot of confidence. She is now expected to deliver another winning show under jockey, Shane
Foley.
