Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds – Review + character selection guide: Part 3
As the name of the game suggests, it features characters from both, Marvel and Capcom universe. The playable characters in the game are listed below:
Marvel: Captain America, Deadpool, Doctor Doom, Dormammu, Hulk, Iron Man, Magneto, M.O.D.O.K., Phoenix, Sentinel, She-Hulk, Shuma Gorath(DLC), Spider Man, Storm, Super-Skrull, Taskmaster, Thor, Wolverine, X-23.
Capcom: Akuma, Albert Wesker, Amaterasu, Arthur, Chris Redfield, Chun-Li, Crimson Viper, Dante, Felicia, Hsien-Ko, Jill Valentine(DLC0, Mike Haggar, Morrigan Aensland, Nathan Spencer, Ryu, Trish, Tron Bonne, Viewtiful Joe, Zero.
Captain America: Captain America is one of the stronger characters in the game and his ability to use his shield as a projectile, is rather fun to play with.
Deadpool: The funniest character in the game has some pretty effective moves and mixed with his constant commentary about how he is doing in the game, he is a fan favourite to play with.
Doctor Doom: One of the best projectile specialists in the game, if mastered, he is close to impossible to beating.
Dormammu: Dormammu is a mixture of being a projectile specialist and being a close combat specialist.
Hulk: Has some of the strongest moves in the game, makes up for his lost speed with his powerful blows and combos.
Iron Man: One of the cheesiest players to play with. Has a number of cheat moves (not really cheat, but just annoying) that make him close to impossible to taking down.
Magneto: A character who should only be handled by someone who has mastered him. To the untrained hand, he is fairly useless, but one you master his moves, he becomes one of the most lethal players in the game.
M.O.D.O.K.: Quite possibly one of the most useless characters to play with. Relies mainly on his lasers, but should he get too close to a player, it’s as good as over.
Phoenix: Has a bunch of nice moves, but her ability to resurrect herself is what makes her stand out.
Sentinel: Despite being awfully slow, his projectiles, mixed with his ability to dish it out some cheap moves, makes him one of the most useful characters in the game.
She-Hulk: Has some of the most powerful moves in the game, a little faster than Hulk, but takes some getting used to.
Spider-Man: Awfully quick, has some good close combat moves and his web slinging is at an all-time high.
Storm: Has a variety of great moves, can beat opponents without ever having to get close to them.
Super-Skrull: Made it into the game ahead of the Fantastic Four, but with all the moves that he can dish out, no one will question his inclusion in the game.
Taskmaster: Has some good projectile moves and the ability to use his sword affectively. However, he is amongst the weaker characters in the game.
Thor: Powerful, but slow and not very good with his projectile ability.
