i hate gymnastics

but the Visa, kerri Strug commercial was also great

Visa had some great commercials, the Bob Beamon one was good, and that story is always impressive to hear

I think it is great for artist to give their own interpretation and reditions of the Anthem. It started as a poem, then it was set to the melody of a British drinking song. The words are the tribute to our country, not a straight bland way of singing it that was first used before 1900.

It was nice seeing it, and I'm curious to know where that took place, but to me the coolest has to be the Audi commercial where they used a software program to show the remodeling of a home interior from old school to contemporary. That's the kind of house I want. They do things like knock out the brick walls and replace them with all glass windows to the exterior. Then you see the Mercedes replaced with an Audi in the driveway, with the caption 'progress is beautiful.'  Now THAT is a great ad from a marketing standpoint. And the music is good too. So is the music in the Coke commercial and I loved seeing the kids get their medals and be all happy. I almost cried. I think some people have a very sentimental connection to Marvin, and his unexpected death was such a tragedy. His own dad shot him. Weird.

Marvin Gaye is one of my all time favorites. But, I didn't like the way he jazzed it up. I think there's only one way to sing the National Anthem, and that's the way it was written.

His version is the best d**n version I've ever heard he even puts Whitney Houston to shame. So much soul and depth makes you get lost in it and makes you want to cry. Makes me proud to be AMERICAN<

Also that is the first Ntional antrhem you can actually make love to. HaHa
