  1. It would have definately drawn some viewers but Hagler would win this one.

  2. Marvelous Marvin Hagler in a landslide.. wow that wouldve been something to see huh?

  3. the hagler who fought leonard only had 2 fights in the previous 2 years, but the '83 version of hagler was at the top of his game.

ths fight would have been close, but hagler eek's out the decision or stops jones late.

  4. RJJ in an instant Classic

  5. Marvin Hagler would have worn Roy Jones down and stopped Jones after eight rounds

  6. Good Dream Match. Jones would have outboxed him. The only question is, would his chin have held up. It did against Toney and Hopkins, but I believe Hagler was a better fighter than both of them. Too bad Jones wasn't born ten years earlier.

  7. Jones - W 50 (KO's 38)  - wins over Hopkins, Toney, McCallum and V. Hill - KO'ed by Tarver and G. Johnson (average fighter). Great defensive skills, unparalleled speed (all this hid a weak chin). Won 1988 Olympic Silver medal at Light Middle wt.

Held titles at 160, 168, 175 and Hwy wt

Hagler - W 62 (KO's 51) - wins over Hamsho{2}, Mugabi, Briscoe, Seales, Duran, Hearns and Minter. Dropped only once in his career - great chin. Could box Southpaw or Orthodox, and could box and brawl. Powerful, and could a good whack to the body, as evidenced by the Mugabi fight.

Roy is up against it in this one. The only chance Jones has is to have larger gloves, larger ring, a 12 rd bout, Don King as promoter and Richard Steele as referee. Roy would probably run most of the fight and potshot and go to the body. Hagler would not be deterred. He would walk Jones down, bide his time, and eventually trap him in a corner and/or nail him flush - Johnson and Tarver did. When the end comes, it is swift and merciless - much like the way Hagler finished off Hearns in their Middleweight classic.

KO by Hagler in Round 10.
