  1. Hagler would pound Hopkins' head in.

  2. Boy wouldnt that be a fight.

I would give my left nut just to be at ringside live.

    I honestly cant choose!!

But i would go with a 90's hopkins instead of an 01'

In the 90's  he was much more of a slugger,

then in the 2000's he changed his style up and fought more

    smart.

  3. Hagler by knockout in 9 rounds

  4. hagler hit like a bull.he had a way of overwhelming you.this is a good fight but i think hagler ko's him in the 8 round.

  5. More answers are for hagler, wich I don't blame, but when you turn B hop into a fighter and exchange with him he gets the best of you. Do you see how hard he lands  his right hand, he dropped calzaghe, stunned tailor, ko'd trinidad and what about his body shot that ko'd De la hoya. So that would be a dream fight!........ To bad we will never see it.

  6. Even though he had his biggest wins post 2000, Hopkins was at his best in the 90's.  That said, he would never have been able to beat Hagler.  Hagler was the ultimate pressure fighter, skilled and powerful.  Hopkins effective slow pace can only be used if the guy he's fighting respects his power, if Hagler thought he could walk through Hearns power, I don't think he'll give the short right hand of Hopkins much credit, this isn't Felix Trinidad or the Golden Boy, this is a legitimate middleweight with a cast iron chin.

Hagler was outboxed (meaning only that the judges thought he was) by Sugar Ray Leonard....his style is juuuuust a littttle bit different than Hopkins.  Nobody south of 215 pounds could KO Hagler, there really isn't anyway of conceiving Hopkins winning.  Hagler was bigger, faster, stronger, and much busier.  No disrespect meant to all those Hopkins fans who buy into his bull**** that what he does, throwing 20 punches a round and leaving it to the judges, is "old school", but we're talking about Marvin Hagler - the guy put judges out of business - he'd wear Hopkins down and stop him late in the fight.

  7. good fight.  Bernard Executes Hagler in the 10th.  He just too good.

  8. b-hop

  9. Hey I respect Hop and all...but lets be no fool here.

BHop never ever faced anyone of Haglers power, speed...all of it. Hopkins may like to fight in phone booths, but that would backfire with Hagler. Hagler would be the rougher on the inside, even with Hopkins gifts for dirty tactics. Hagler would wear him out on the inside on work rate alone.

That leaves him on the outside, which gives him the disadvantage there too. BHop likes to sit outside and counter with an excellent right. But lets be realistic...a very VERY two handed Tommy Hearns, who could do more damage with BOTH of his hands from power lefts and rights, couldnt keep Hagler off of him.

Hagler would bury BHop outside of seven to nine rounds...and likely it would be a stoppage. Remember, the strongest fighter that Hop ever fought was Jermain Taylor, and he was wary of his power. Hagler was MUCH stronger than Taylor ever was or ever will be. BHop would have to be too respective of his power.

  10. Hagler would be much too aggressive for Hopkins, he's too busy (see Calzaghe,Taylor,Jones) Hopkins doesn't do well against fighters who are too aggressive and quicker then he is, along with Haglers chin Hopkins would not be able to hurt Hagler enough to keep him off him...Hopkins would have nothing to offer against Hagler. The fight would become a distance run for Hopkins.

This is how i see the fight going down

Hagler would overwhelm Hopkins from the opening bell, Hopkins would get his legs back after being rocked in the opening seconds of the round.

He starts jabbing and trying to counter punch an incoming Hagler. Rounds would go back and forth until Hopkins legs get tired from moving around the ring, Hagler starts landing with more regularity until he hits Hopkins with big right hook that crashes Hopkins to the canvass.

Hopkins would get up and try clinching and running. The next round goes similar with Hagler landing more and more frequently and accurately.

Hopkins gets hurt again and low blows Hagler, Hagler drops and gets back up, the ref asks him if he wants time to rest, Hagler sais no and charges right back in at Hopkins,

Hopkins hits him with an elbow and is warned by the ref.

Around the 9th, Hagler catches a lethargic Hopkins and drops him to a knee. Hopkins looks like he can continue but decides to stay down for the count.

    Hagler 9 round TKO

And a note to P4L, Hopkins was never a slugger. Hopkins style has never really changed, he looks the same now as he did back in the early 90's.
