Marvin Hagler has the better boxing skills and would outbox the tough and durable LaMotta throughout the fight.  LaMotta would be able to do some damage inside and make a decent fight of it, but in the end Hagler's hands are raised as he is declared the winner by unanimous decision in am action packed fight.
