Many people hoped to see Martin perform even better for Les Lionceaux this campaign. However, the current season has been a struggle for both the playmaker and his club. the youngster has provided five assists and scored two goals which clearly show that
Martin is not in the form that many expect from him.
As things stand, Martin’s team in 19th place in the Ligue 1 standings and relegation to the Ligue 2 looms large. The residents of Stade Bonal are not at their best despite showing signs of recovery in recent weeks.
Team’s performances have led many to criticise Martin whose future at the club is already under intense scrutiny.
While talking to L’Equipe, the midfielder spoke about his future and opened the door to a departure this summer.
Martin is clearly angry that him and his friend http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryad-Boudebouz-c31970 are being criticised as if the whole situation is their fault.
“This has caused great harm. Ryad and I were the two players everyone was targeting. At annoys me because it seemed that everything was our fault. I try to give everything. The coach (Laurent Blanc) looks at the club and also at the player’s performance.
The call from Aulas? At first, I was a little surprised, but pleased. Last year, I wanted to stay in France. This year I’m ready to go abroad.”
Clearly, Martin is not happy with the way people have blamed him and Boudebouz because of the club’s fall from grace this campaign. Being the two best players at the club, the young duo has been the subject of harsh criticism which might be the reason why
Marvin Martin is not so keen on staying in Ligue 1 for another season.
