Mary Kay consultants?

If you're a consultant, how long did it take you to start seeing some money come in. I've been working hard to get customers because I'm having ababy in a couple months. Where are the customers? I've done what my recruter has done to get customers but have not gotten one the ways she does. My directer is very assertive close to pushy so I don't always feel comfortable taking her approach.

  1. Hello Zavyrj- I'm not in Mary Kay, but I am involved in internet marketing and network marketing. Be patient- remember it's about building relationships with people. They must like you and trust you. People love to buy, but they HATE to be sold...think about it. Find 1 or more mentors in your company who you like and trust and work with them- copy what they've done.

Also Zavyrj, here is an EXCELLENT tip for you. Right now, marketing your business on the internet is huge- it's the hottest thing. It's worked for me and many many others. You don't have to make a list, cold call people, buy leads or bug your family and friends anymore. It requires almost NO selling- you can build you downline much faster. Email me and I'll send you 2 links to get you started. These are 2 courses that I swear by- the guy that created them became a millionaire by age 29!

  2. It takes time. I've been working my Mary Kay Business for a few months now and it's hard especially during these times. But keep on pushing and building relationships. Build relationships first because that is what makes them want to come back to you in the future. I don't know what your director does to get names, but we actually give out goody bags at walks (cancer walks, ms walks, etc) and offer the free facial and makeover with a prize to win. Just keep on getting names and calling people (and don't give up on the ones that don't answer until they tell you they are not interested). I also building your team will bring in more money too.

  3. I am having the same problem. I don't want to be pushy, but I want to sell. If you find the answer let me know :)

  4. How about this...does your director have a Grand Debut for you and your business?  If not, why not ask her to do one for you.

Basically, you invite all the women over 18 you can think of that doesn't already have a beauty consultant.  They will come to your house, listen to your director tell about the company, about some of the products as they are passed around to squirt, smell, and try.  The purse game should also be played.  She should tell everyone that they need to book a class with you and buy EVERYTHING they want to support you and your business.  At the end of the class, she should help you with a couple of people on what to say to get them scheduled and she'll also talk to whomever there that wants to sign.  Everything that happens that day will benefit you including the people who sign.

In the end, you'll have bookings, sales, and hopefully...team members.  From those bookings, you'll meet your friends friends so on and so forth.

When a debut is done right, your business can explode into many wonderous avenues.

    Best to you,

    Michelle
