While talking to reporters, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Mascherano-c18071 was quoted as saying:
"Puyol’s injury is really bad news; he’s the captain, a fantastic player and a man who brings a lot to the group and the team. Now he’s picked up another injury but hopefully we can have him back with us soon."
It is not the first time that Puyol has been sidelined due to injury in the ongoing 2012 calendar year.
The Spanish international has been suffering from fitness issues for quite a while now. The veteran defender was also unable to represent his national side at this year’s European Championships in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 due to a knee injury.

"We played against an intense team, they pressured us quite a bit and they have quality players. We scored a goal in the first half and that calmed us down, we could have scored more and we finally did in the second half. We’re coming into the Clasico on
form,” the Argentine stated.
Tito Vilanova’s men will lock horns with Real Madrid on Sunday at the Nou Camp.
