Barcelona midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Mascherano-c18071, is urging his former teammate from his Liverpool days to move to the Spanish League.
This has not been the first time the former Liverpool midfielder has tried to influence http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Agger-c9884 to walk alone and join his team in La Liga.
In July this year, Mascherano tried to convince Barcelona to sign the Danish defender, by saying that he is a hard worker and quick on his feet during game-play.
In the latest issue of the Champions League magazine, Mascherano was interviewed and was caught attempting to influence Agger.
He issued statements as to how it does not surprise him that Barcelona would want to sign the player, and that he is phenomenal in his position.
“It would be absolutely fantastic to have http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 here, and it does not surprise me that Barcelona have shown interest in him. A player with his qualities will always be welcome with open arms here at the club,” said the midfielder.
He also emphasised on how Agger’s style of play is one that will fit Barcelona very well, and that if he had any say on the matter, he would have flown him in from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 as soon as possible.
“It was down to me, I would bring him to the club immediately, as he is without a doubt a player Barcelona-type player. Let’s hope he comes to the club soon.”
His statements are more than subtle, and the midfielder is dying for the defender to make Barcelona his choice of team.
Agger has spent almost half his career as an injured player and Liverpool could do good to sell him while he’s still worth a few million, because after a while, the injury prone player will not cost as much as they may desire.
Even Denmark’s manager, Martin Olsen, will back the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 defender to move to Barcelona, provided Barcelona enter a bid.
“When he is fit, Agger is a modern, top class stopper. I would like to see him next to Pique at Barcelona,” said http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Martin-Olsen-c24422.
The Danish defender has not signed any new agreements, however, with Barcelona wanting the man, a move is very possible over the next year.
