  1. that men and women are equal....very similar to feminism on the moderate level.

Focus on father rights, men's rights, social issues.

  2. The same as feminism but about men. I don't like them because they use the same social construction theories that feminist theory does. There are MRA's which are basically men's rights groups which are similar to the earlier women's rights groups before 'feminist theory' took over... equal treatment instead of ideology(however even some MRA's seem outlandish in reasoning).

The other problem I have, as with feminism, is that ideologues can distort the lines between combating social inequities and fighting for control or supremacy. Another example would be Hitler's Nationalist Socialist ideologies... the concept itself is not necessarily bad, but ideology can sometimes breed hate, especially when it involves murder and racism, which of course is wrong.

I've always found it best to review, debate, and consider specific concepts as opposed to entire ideologies, to best avoid biases as much as possible.

  3. No idea. I only hear feminists use this term. I suspect they use this term to justify the equally ridiculous term 'feminism.' I googled the word and it came up with 40,000 hits. If you google feminism, you come up with 15,400,000 hits. In my opinion, we need less ism's, not more.

  4. I can't believe that any men felt the need to become masculinists. These men sound like a bunch of weak-willed weanies who got tired of women pushing them around, so they decided to form a group called masculinists. They need to just act like real men and stop complaining about their so-called plight as men.
