Mash fried potatoes ?

how can i keep it from falling apart ?

was it i put too much oil or the mashed potatoes was too warm to fry?

  1. just use a non stick pan and then make pattys of mash potatoes and let brown for a bit then flip, cook and enjoy  


  2. they have to be cold

  3. it works better if you add some wet stuff.Like eggs and roll in flour.I always put lots of salt and pepper on outside and when you brown them have them nicely done and crunchy.You can mix sour cream ,cheese,cream cheese chives onions ...so yummy and fattening i grew up eating them my grandma made them everyday...

  4. i call them pototo cakes. take your mashed pototos *about 2 cups)and put in about a cup of flour one egg ,1 small  onion .,mix all together and pan fry in very hot grease .

  5. My husband makes them with flour, egg, and milk added to the leftover mashed potatoes.  They always stay together and get nice and brown on the outside.  He just goes by consistency.
