Having won the toss and chosen to field first, the Mountaineers’ http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Donald-Tiripano-c1393 (4-0-42-3) and Shingi Masakadza (4-0-31-3) both dealt major blows to the Eagles’ batting order, However, their inability to break up the opening partnership in time hurt them,
and although they managed to penetrate the batting order in the later stages of their opponents’ innings, the Eagles went on to post a final total of 180, at the expense of 8 wickets.
Opening batsmen http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Waller-c95917 (24) for a 38-run stand, which got the team
total up to 132 by the 15th over.
Waller was eventually sent packing by S Masakadza, but Raza and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/E-Chigumbura-c1411 (11) kept going. They contributed a combined total of 32 runs to the team total, which swelled to 164. However, from there onwards, the Mountaineers’ bowling attack kicked into
high gear.

were the only batsmen who succeeded in progressing beyond single digits, but their efforts fell short when it came to meeting the target.
With the opposition’s bowlers picking them off easily, the Mountaineers eventually collapsed, all out, at 127, with the Eagles claiming victory by a margin of 53 runs.
