Mass effect xbox 360?

i wanna get a game for my xobx 360 what kind of game is this and what do you do in it?also how long is the game and if its a shooter is it third person? thanks!!

Mass Effect is what they're calling an "Action/RPG"

The storytelling in this game is phenomenal, the characters are real and engaging and the choices you have to make have real consequences in the game's galaxy. The last few hours of gameplay literally had my jaw hanging open with the sheer epic WIN of it all...

Because I'm somewhat of an obsessive completionist, my first playthrough took me well over 50 hours. The next few go-rounds were faster - in the 20 to 30 hour range. But because there are different storylines depending on what type of character you play, and what decisions you make - those extra playthroughs are well worth it.

The 'action' elements of Mass Effect - the shooting/using powers/driving the Mako vehicle (in third-person) - really depend on how you like to play. Because I'm more of a strategist, I like to play biotics and tech characters, pause the game in combat and map out actions for my party. Others, who like the run-and-gun style, generally do well with a soldier class and BFGs.
