Mass of tissue under Pregnancy Belly?

Just underneath my belly button on my stomach, there is some loose flesh and in the middle of it there is a mass or ball of something. I am at 36 weeks and the rest of my stomach is tight and normal. The ball feels like it is outside of the uterus. Is this normal, has anyone else had this before?

This could be a hernia.

This sounds like an umbilical hernia. I think thats the common name and there is another more scientific sounding name lol.

I think I have a hiatal hernia from vomiting so much with hyperemesis. The docs said they thought it was but didn't test as you need an edescopy (invasive) or x-ray (dangerous) for hiatus hernias.

In my search for info on H Hernias I stumbled across lotsa info on the kind you talked about on the net.
