Question:

Massage Therapist requirements in MD?

I'm a licensed massage therapist in TX and just moved to MD. I haven't called the state licensing bureau yet, but wanted to know if MD lets you work provisionally while completing your course hours. TX is a 300 hour state (just went to 500) in Oct. 08.

  1. No state will let you do that unless they are unlicensed.

MD is 500 hours so You probably will need more training before you can work but check with the state board.
