Massage Therapists - taken the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards test yet?

Mblex? If so, do you have any thoughts, opinions or words of advice prior to taken it?

Also I see how National Cert is misleading. Why is it called A National test when practically every state has different requirements, and every school teaches differently?

Most states require the national cert test in addition to their own requirements. In VA, I had to have 500 hours of schooling (different from state to state), the national certification test and apply for certification through the VA board of nursing. If I were to move to another state, the national cert test that I took would still fulfill that requirement and I would simply have to convert my license to my new state providing I don't have to complete any additional school hours.

This exam is usually for not just Massage therapist but this test is for bodyworkers in therapeutic therapies. Most states do not require this certification but it makes you look more credible to state licensing, job offerings, and to your clients.

It is called a National test due to Therapist or Bodyworkers can use this certification to practice within the US without paying fines for not licensing.

Just study as many test question guides as you can to prepare for it.

Yes it is very misleading .  The exam started out as being an entrance exam into AMTA and balloned into a so-called National Certification Exam without any proper research as to whether one was even needed.

I dont have no test but I got a client to paint a little sign to hang out front and it is drawing in all the business that i can handle. i am about ready for a seacruice. going to brighton and take some time off. easy work but some blokes are so very demanding.
