Masseuse dies at Chris Bosh's residence under unknown circumstances - NBA Update
Chris Bosh masseuse died under mysterious circumstances at his home a night before the Game 5. The professional massage therapist whose name was not disclosed hailed from South Florida.
According to the statement issued by Bosh and his wife:
"Last evening, a massage therapist that we have used for some time, arrived at our home to provide massage therapy. Shortly after she arrived, she fainted and lost consciousness. We called 911 and emergency personnel arrived at
our home shortly thereafter. They took her to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she passed away. Our hearts go out to her family. We are very sorry for their loss."
According to the statement issued by Miami police, the unnamed woman arrived healthy at Chris’s home at 10:24 am, but suddenly passed out around 2:29 pm. She was taken to the hospital but she couldn’t survive and was proclaimed
dead at 11:45pm.
The report issued by police also said that they initially didn’t trace any foul play but they will carry on with the investigation. Police was informed by one of deceased's friend that she survived cancer a year ago.
Heat Coach Erik Spoelstra termed the incident an absolute tragedy;
“It’s an absolute tragedy. It really is. We’re learning all the full details”.
Chris was with his team on Tuesday morning attending the routine shoot around. He has been missing the postseason action due to strained lower abdominal muscle. Heat however survived the 9 playoff games without him, with LeBron
James and Dwyane Wade carrying the load.
Bosh was enlisted active in the game 5 against Boston Celtics and made quite an impact in the 14 minutes he was allowed by Spoelstra. Bosh played for about 10 minutes in the first half and scored 9 points to go with 6 rebounds.
He did not show any signs of struggle with injury and in fact, had it not been for Coach Spo's decision to under utilize him, the Heat might have been up by a game in the series.
Spoelstra has vowed to use Bosh more in the all important game-6, and if Miami are to take the series to game-7, the power forward will have to take over.
