The head coach of the Rossoneri outfit has gone on to state his opinion on the course of action that the match took in their match against the Spanish outfit, Malaga.
The Diavolo outfit have not been having their slice of luck in the recent times and they seem unable to provide any potent threat to the opposition defences when they take them on in the matches. The Rossoneri outfit were away to Malaga to compete in their
third match of their UEFA Champions League group matches. A win would have guaranteed a place in the round of 16 for the Rossoneri; however, they were unable to secure that as they were unable to infiltrate the defences of the Spanish outfit.
It was not a convincing performance by any means, as the Rossoneri outfit employed a new 3-4-3 formation. Kevin Constant and Mattia De Sciglio operated as the wing-backs of the team. The system was put in place to facilitate the attacking threat of Giampaolo
Pazzini, and the head coach of the team went on to discuss the first half of the match was evenly matched, but conceded that they could not win back possession effectively in the next half. Coach Allegri further remarked that he would be looking to perform
to the best of their abilities in their upcoming matches, but lamented the fact that they were not keeping proper possession during the match. While talking to the Mediaset group of journalists, the former Cagliari man remarked:
“The first half didn’t go badly, but after the break we struggled as we couldn’t emerge from our own half due to their possession and us giving the ball away cheaply. We had some good chances in the first half, wasting the final ball and making the wrong
decisions. Despite not allowing Malaga that much, we still conceded a goal.”
Many were surprised by the new formation that the club had deployed. However, it was desperate times for the Milanello group who had lost half of their matches of the ten that they have played during this season. This defeat makes it six losses out of eleven
matches.
