Allegri coy over Cesc Fabregas rumours and looking to win Audi Cup game
Manager, Massimiliano Allegri, is coy over rumours linking Arsenal skipper, Cesc Fabregas, as A.C Milan’s Mister X.
Several names have been linked to be Milan’s Mr. X; http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c40446 star, Ganso and Milan legend Kaka, have been linked with the club. However, recent reports have linked the Arsenal skipper with a move to San Siro.
Allegri did not speak anything on the link and remained silent over the talks.
Talking to the reporters Allegri said, "Fabregas? You'd have to ask [http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 coach Pep] Guardiola. However, I have a good squad. There are always plenty of transfer rumours in the summer, but I will not speak about Schweinsteiger out of respect, and only about the Milan players."
After winning the 2010/11 Serie A title, Allegri is looking to strengthen his squad to challenge for UEFA Champions League next season. Milan have added several new players to the squad including Stephan El-Shaarawy, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Taye-Taiwo-c34728 and Philippe Mexes but the tactician is looking to sign one world class attacking midfielder to the team.
Allegri wants to replace influential midfielder, Andrea Pirlo, who left the Italian Champions for Juventus this summer. The tactician is also looking to replace the ageing stars, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Massimo-Ambrosini-c24579 with young players.
Club Vice-President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani, last week revealed that the Rossoneri have identified their Mr. X and will assess the situation of the squad by next month before making a decision over his signing.
Allegri is looking to focus on the Audi Cup clash against German giants, Bayern Munich, and believes that this game will show the strength of his squad in preparations for the next season.
He said: "I expect that we will play two games with good intensity to improve fitness and match fitness. Compared with the Emirates Cup last year, we are already ahead in terms of our preparation.”
The tactician wants to keep all the players fit ahead of the new campaign, as injuries marred a fantastic season for his team, when they were knocked out of the Champions League.
