A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has downplayed the importance of the clash against Juventus, insisting that “It’s important, but not essential.”
The Italian Champions will face Antonio Conte’s men on Saturday, February 25, in a clash which could decide the battle for Scudetto come the end of the season. Milan currently lead the league table, as they are only one point ahead
of the Turin giants, albeit having played an extra game.
Midfielder, Andrea Pirlo, will face his former employers for the third time since leaving the Rossoneri in the summer transfer window. Allegri is full of praise for the veteran playmaker, insisting that he will welcome back the
Italian international to San Siro at any time in the future.
The former Cagliari boss insisted that Pirlo has found a new class at Juventus, but he remains a Rossoneri legend.
While talking to the reporters, Allegri said,
“He’s an extraordinary player. In Turin he has found a new motivation and certainly those 10 years at Milan were not a failure. His quality is not up for debate.”
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 midfielder also heaped praise on Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while reflecting on the Swede’s importance to the Italian Champions.
“Ibra is a good guy, a generous guy. It shows in his way of thinking, playing and especially in the fact that he is always at the forefront in defence of everything and everyone. I think he is an important player, who is doing
well at Milan and fortunately arrived when I arrived.” added the Rossoneri boss
Ibrahimovic will miss the game against Juventus, following a three-match ban for slapping http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Salvatore-Aronica-c32276 in the goalless draw against Napoli recently. A.C Milan have appealed the striker’s ban to the governing body, and if it
is reduced to two games, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan striker will take part against the Turin giants.
The Italian Champions are in a great run of form, having picked up convincing victories in their recent games against Udinese, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Cesena recently.
