The Rossoneri boss reveals the reasons behind the changes he has made since taking over the helm at San Siro; hungry for more success
AC Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has explained the tactical change he had to undergo at the time of taking the charge at the club.
Allegri is in his second managerial year with the Italian Champions, and has witnessed a very successful period with the club. The former Cagliari boss won the Scudetto in his debut campaign with the Diavolo last season, and ended
a seven-year league drought.
Success has followed the tactician again this season, as Milan are just one-point adrift of the summit of the Serie A table. The Rossoneri trail Juventus by a solitary point.
Allegri has made several changes to the system they play at San Siro, and has introduced a new style of play. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Prince-Boateng-c20792 in his debut season with the Diavolo,
and the trio have not let their boss down. The attackers had been influential behind the team’s success in the recent past.
The 44-year-old insisted that he needed to make the changes, as they are always looking to find better opportunities at the club. He also clarified the switch he made in the trequartista role, and believes that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Clarence-Seedorf-c9275
is a better player when he is playing in a wide left role.
While talking to Sky Sport Italia, the manager insisted:
“It is a very different environment to what I was used to before, as at Milan you play every three days to win. There is a big club behind you. With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani we try to improve many situations and I immediately found a great
atmosphere in the locker room."
“Choices must be made at the right moment. With the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robinho-c31382, we had to change our style of play. I removed Seedorf because he had different characteristics to Boateng, whose physical strength
could give us a bigger hand in attack.”
Milan are currently placed 2nd in the league standings, and with only six matches left until the end of the season, Allegri will be looking to win his second league in a row.
