A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has hailed his team’s 2-0 win over Atalanta on Sunday, January 8th, 2012. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Prince-Boateng-c20792 scored for the visitors, who remain top of the Serie A table.
The Champions travelled to Stadio Atleti Azzurri in a bid to end Atalanta’s unbeaten record home record. Allegri believes that his side played some great football against a motivated team. The tactician is delighted with the performances
of his midfielders, and believes that they negated the opposition’s danger extremely well.
Allegri believes that a win was extremely important to set up the pace for second-half of the season.
While talking to the reporters,
“It was an entertaining and physical game. Atalanta could’ve caused us problems on the counter and that proved to be the case, but my lads adapted very well in midfield. The team fought hard and made a very difficult test seem
simple. It was important to win coming back from the winter break and we achieved that.”
The manager went onto praise striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-c4885 Pato, for putting up an inspirational performance on the afternoon. The 44-year-old insisted that Pato was extremely sharp in-front of the goal, and was unlucky not to score.
“I am happy with Alexandre Pato’s performance, as he earned a penalty and created several chances, having also hit the woodwork. I like Kevin-Prince Boateng in midfield and began using him there when he first arrived.” 
Pato was handed a rare start amid reports of his rift with the manager. The Brazilian was tipped to leave the club in the winter transfer window, as it was reported that he had a falling out with Allegri.
A.C Milan will host bitter rivals, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan, in their next league game on Sunday, January 15, 2012. Allegri is looking forward to the Milan derby, and is hoping to make it four wins from as many games.
