Massimiliano Allegri happy despite a poor start to the season: Serie A news
A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has revealed that he is content with his team’s performance despite a poor start to the 2011/12 campaign.
Milan have picked up only two points from their opening three games, as they drew their latest league game against Udinese at the San Siro on September 21, 2011. The Rossoneri have been faced with host of injury concerns and Allegri
believes that given this fact in mind, he is happy with his team’s performances.
The Italian Champions suffered a huge blow as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-c4885 Pato also joined some of his other team-mates on the treatment table in the game against Francesco Guidolin’s side. The 44-year-old is delighted with the draw against the
Bianconeri side and believes that his team deserved to pick up a point in the game. The manager also praised the defenders for putting up a good show after a horrendous game against Napoli over the weekend.
Allegri said, “Looking at the table, I can only think we have two points. What else am I supposed to think? Milan had a good game and the lads deserved this point, creating many scoring opportunities and only risking on the counter-attack
at the end.”
“I am happy with what the team is doing. At this moment in time, this will do. After an unlucky goal and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Pato-c4901’s injury, we could’ve let our heads drop, but instead we reacted well. After the three goals conceded from
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, we were more careful in defence and held our concentration better.”
The former Cagliari boss also praised new boy, Stephan El-Shaarawy for a wonderful game and scoring on his home debut for the club. El-Shaarawy’s 63rd minute strike put the hosts on level terms after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Di-Natale-c6306
had provided them with a lead in the first half.
The Italian Champions only have one fit striker left at their disposal in the form of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302 and Allegri is hoping to have Ibrahimovic and Co. fit for their next game. Milan will take on Cesena in their next league game
on September 24, 2011.
