Reports suggest that the Rossoneri chief could be sacked from San Siro if he falls short of the Scudetto, with several replacements are already in the hearsay.
The press is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 is going berserk over rumours suggesting that Massimiliano Allegri’s fight for the Serie A title has now turned into a fight for survival at the Milan outfit.
The Rossoneri coach is contracted with the club until June 2014, but there is a prevailing notion that the manager could be sacked from the club, if the team succumbs to Juventus in the race to the Scudetto.
Allegri has reportedly been under strong criticism from anxious President, Silvio Berlusconi, for the diminishing performance of the team, and the president’s history suggests that the anxiety can soon turn to anger if the Diavolo fail to pull up their socks.
Moreover, many names are already in the news as potential replacements for the current tactician including that of former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello.
Other possible replacements include Barcelona’s Pep Guardiola, legendary Dutch Marco Van Basten, Zenit manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-c4710 Costacurta.
However, the manager may not have the best of rapport with the club president and several other executives, but he is certainly in the good books of Vice-President http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani, who is apparently is backing Allegri.
The speculation has been largely triggered by the fact that champions AC Milan, who had been sailing ahead in the league, now trail three points to Juventus, with just five games left to be played in the league.
However, all is not dark for the former Cagliari manager as the Rossoneri’s official website recently celebrated the manager’s milestone of achieving his 150th point for the club.
AC Milan ended their last league campaign with 82 points, and they have already collected 68 so far this term, with five games still left to be played.
Allegri has recently expressed his resolve stating that his aim is not just to take the Scudetto, but also exceed the benchmark set last year. However, failure to do so can render the manager susceptible to the president’s axe.
