The Rossoneri boss happy with his squad and believes that the Juventus midfielder’s departure helped the Italian Champions economically
A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has admitted that his team is not regretting his decision to let Andrea Pirlo leave the San Siro in summer transfer window.
Pirlo left the Rossoneri to join Juventus on a free transfer before the ongoing season. The Italian international has been inspirational in his team’s success in the 2011/12 season, and is one of the strongest candidates for the player of the year award.
However, Milan have struggled without the talismanic midfielder, as their midfield department lacks creativity in Pirlo’s absence. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Aquilani-c4313 has also done well since joining the Rossoneri on-loan. Still, none of them have the class to replace Pirlo, who could turn the outcome of a match on his head single-handedly.
The master-class midfielder has brought back Juve among the Italian elites, as they remain atop the Serie A standings after 20 matches played thus far. A team which struggled to even qualify for UEFA Europa League in the previous season are now considered as favourites to win domestic silverware.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Massimo-Ambrosini-c24579 do not have legs to anchor the Rossoneri midfield, and they are definitely missing the Italian. However, Allegri thinks otherwise, and insists that it was a mutual decision of the club and player. The tactician insisted that Pirlo’s departure was extremely good in economical perspective.
While talking to the reporters, Allegri said,
“Last season I had already decided that the tactics would change. Pirlo is a champion and is having a great campaign, but the split was a mutual decision and also good for us economically. It’s true that teams win with champions, but some continue to win even after selling them.”
Pirlo joined Milan from bitter-rivals, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567, in 2001, and went onto make 377 appearances for the Italian Champions. The midfielder also scored 44 goals for the Red and Blacks, and helped them in winning nine major trophies throughout his career.
