The head coach of Milan has gone on to state that he recognises the threat that Malaga possess in their pursuit of qualifying from the Champions League group stages.
The Rossoneri outfit have come under ever increasing amounts of scrutiny and criticism following their worst start to the season since the 1940s. They have not been able to score a point per game this season, as they have only secured seven points from the
eight match appearances they have done so far. This has meant that the team would be looking forward to making the most of their UEFA Champions League ambitions for the season to compensate for their abysmal domestic record.
The Rossoneri outfit have lost out to relative minnows, and have dropped points where they were expected to secure points from the league table. This is statistically the worst season they have had in more than 70 years, and the unrest amongst the fans and
the club faithful is evident.
Despite their abysmal run in the Serie A, the Rossoneri outfit have been impressive on the European front, as they bounced back splendidly from their draw against Anderlecht, to overcome Zenit St Petersburg on their travels to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991. This has meant that
the Diavolo outfit has accumulated 4 points from their two matches in the Champions League, and they would confirm their qualification into the round of 16 of the premier European competition if they are able to beat the Spanish outfit.
While commenting on the type of football that the Spanish side plays, the former head coach of Cagliari remarked that they would be difficult to beat as they are exceptional in midfield. He went on to comment that they will be looking to exploit the spaces
that will be created during the match.
“Malaga play a very offensive brand of football. We’ll have to try and play well in possession because there will certainly be space for us. It will be tough and we’ll have to play as we did at Zenit. They are very technical from the midfield onwards.”
The group stage match will be played tonight on Wednesday.
