The Rossoneri boss rules out Kevin-Prince Boateng and Maxi Lopez for the clash against the Bianconeri; hails Andrea Pirlo’s impact with the Turin giants.
A.C Milan will host Juventus in matchday 25 game of the ongoing season on Saturday, February 25, 2012.
Rossoneri manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has revealed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s absence is not the only concern for his side, as they will be missing few other key players. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Clarence-Seedorf-c9275 had already
been ruled out due to muscle injuries, and Allegri has confirmed that January signing, Maxi Lopez, will also be unavailable for the San Siro clash.
However, there is some good news on the injury front for the Italian Champions, as they will welcome http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Pato-c4901 back in the starting line-up. The Brazilian is expected to replace Ibrahimovic in the starting line-up after recovering
from a long-standing knee problem. Allegri is still undecided to choose from Djamel Mesbah and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sulley-Muntari-c34312.
While talking to the reporters, Massimiliano Allegri said,
“Boateng and Maxi Lopez won’t be in the team. Alexandre Pato will definitely play. Sulley Muntari could feature from the first minute. I still haven’t decided between Antonini or Mesbah at left-back. Pato? I expect him to make
a convincing return. He’ll start in an important game and he’ll be motivated to do well.”
The 44-year-old went onto praise former Rossoneri faithful, Andrea Pirlo, who has made a huge impact at the Juventus Stadium since leaving the Italian Champions for the Bianconeri.
“Pirlo was a decision made seven months ago, it’s an old story. He’s doing well at Juventus, but I didn’t doubt his quality. He’s a reference point for the Bianconeri and we’ll look to limit him.”
Milan remain atop of the league standings with 50 points from 24 matches played so far. On the other hand, Juve are only one point behind the leaders, albeit with an extra game in hand. The Turin giants have defeated Milan in the
last three head to head encounters, with the recent being the Coppa Italia semi-final triumph.
