A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, is upset after a chaotic week for the Italian Champions.
The Rossoneri slumped to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of bitter rivals, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ignazio-Abate-c16673. As
a result, Milan move down to second position in the league table.
Allegri believes that the build-up to the game was not the best for his side, as the players were distracted by media reports of Carlos Tevez’ arrival and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-c4885 Pato’s departure from the club.
The 44-year-old insisted that his side was sitting comfortably at the top of the league table, but the media portrayed a different picture of the club, showing that they were in crisis. However, the manager is confident that his
team will move forward from a chaotic week and they will find their best form soon.
Commenting on reports of Pato’s departure from San Siro, Allegri insisted that he never wanted to sell the Brazilian, and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302.
While talking to reporters, Allegri said,
“It was a chaotic week, an unnecessarily chaotic one. Up until a few hours ago we were top of the table, yet the media painted it as if Milan had a thousand and one problems. The Rossoneri will continue to fight for the Scudetto
till the end. It was a decision made by the club and Pato. I never said I wanted to send Pato away, especially as we had already lost Antonio Cassano, so Tevez was meant to replace Cassano."
Asked if Milan are still in hunt to sign the Manchester City striker, Allegri insisted that the club bosses will decide about that.
“Is it over for Tevez? I don’t know, you’d have to ask the club. Now I have to put together the few midfielders I have left for the next game.”
Milan will travel to Novara in their next league game on Sunday, January 22nd, 2012.
