A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, is not satisfied with his team’s performance despite thrashing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 in the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League.
The Italian Champions cruised to a 4-0 win over the Gunners at San Siro on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 scored a goal each to take a healthy lead into the second-leg.
Despite the mammoth victory, Allegri feels that his team relaxed after going 4-0 up and they should have scored at least two more goals. The manager has urged his team to remain focused for the full 90 minutes and make most of every opportunity that comes their way, especially in Europe.
The 44-year-old has warned his players not to relax in the second-leg, and insists that an early goal at Emirates will guarantee their route to the quarter-finals.
While talking to the reporters, Allegri said,
“Tonight we had so many chances, especially after going 4-0 up. We could’ve won 6-0 and ought to take our chances when they appear, above all in Europe. I hoped to add some more to the result, because we have to take the opportunities. Now we need a goal in London to relax.”
“The team played almost perfectly, attacking our opponents from the start on all areas of the pitch. In terms of concentration we got it all right and the side showed the right spirit of sacrifice to win.”
The manager heaped praise on Robinho, who was under severe criticism for his wastefulness in-front of the goal in the recent matches.  Allegri insisted that the Brazilian is an important member of the team, and is hoping that the recent performance will help the former Manchester City star to get back to his best.
The second-leg of the tie will be played at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, March 6th. Milan’s next game will be against A.C Cesena in the Serie A on Sunday, February 19, 2012.
