AC Milan head-coach has advised his team not to give into complacency; and to maintain the same attitude they showed in the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League tie.
The Rossoneri will be travelling to the Emirates Stadium to face http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 in the second-leg of the last 16 round of UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, 06 March.
The Diavolo were in ruthless form against the Gunners in the first-leg, breaching the Arsenal defence four times, and keeping a clean sheet on the way.
Milan are favourites to advance to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and have been in amazing form of late. They have been scoring for fun in nearly all their matches, winning four of their last
five matches in all competitions. Their recent triumph was against a strong Palermo side, who they trounced 4-0.
However, Arsenal have also improved their performances since their 4-0 battering at San Siro a fortnight ago. They come into this game on the back of an impressive victory over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 at Anfield.
Allegri has stated that they will not take the Gunners lightly, and will play with greater enthusiasm in the second-leg.
“I expect my team to face the Arsenal test with even greater strength than the first leg, because we know it won’t be easy despite the advantage we have accumulated.”
While reflecting on his team’s performance against Palermo, the former Cagliari man commented:
“We did very well against Palermo, especially in the first half. After the break we were wise to control the tempo and go on counter-attacks for the fourth goal. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 put in a strong performance and
scored a goal, but I’d also underline the good show from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 and Robinho.”
The Italian was overjoyed by the appetite shown by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who scored a brilliant hat-trick within 35 minutes from the start of play.
Allegri is hoping that Ibra will turn on the style once again in their second-leg tie at the Emirates Stadium. The Swede has become the joint top goal-scorer in the Serie A with 18 strikes to his name.
