The head coach of AC Milan has gone on to remark that their Serie A outing against Palermo was not their best performance, and cited areas where they need to improve.
Having come from one disappointment to another disappointment, the Rossoneri outfit do not have any excuses left for their poor performances, not anymore at least. It is true that the task of Massimiliano Allegri to maintain a good standing in the Serie
A table has become even more difficult after the departure of key and influential players; however, many believe that it cannot be used as a reason to continue the poor run of form they are in at the moment.
After apparently bouncing back in last weekend’s round of matches with a victory, it remains to be seen whether the club can go out on a consistent set of results. This has come under excessive amounts of questioning, following their performance in the midweek
tie against Palermo. On the match held on Tuesday, the Rossoneri outfit were deemed in a better position to take the match by the scruff of the neck. However, it was the Rosanero who took the lead, and they strengthened it by two goals during the majority
of the match.
The San Siro outfit had an extremely poor showing in the first half of the match and they gave away a spot kick during the match. After going one goal to the good after the second half, the Rossoneri outfit provided the Rosanero with another chance, and
they took it by both hands.
They were effectively down 2-0 during the first two minutes of the second half, and things were looking bleak for the Diavolo outfit. While commenting on the game, Allegri remarked on their weaknesses and remarked:
“We got a lot wrong in the first half and the problems arrived, even if by playing badly we shouldn’t have allowed them into the box 30 seconds from the break. I think Pato needs to play and rediscover his confidence. We could’ve done better in giving him
service. He needs to grow, but put the effort in tonight. For him just being on the pitch is like a weight off his shoulders and he’ll get more and more relaxed.”
Pato comes from a series of lengthy lay-offs and it remains to be seen whether he can continue this streak.
