Massimo Ambrosini believes only Barcelona are better than A.C Milan: Serie A news
Veteran midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Massimo-Ambrosini-c24579, believes that only Barcelona are better than his club, A.C Milan.
Ambrosini believes that the Spanish and European Champions, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, are the superior force in the football right now and Milan are second best to them. The Milan skipper believes that his team has enough quality to win the UEFA
Champions League next season.
The Rossoneri had a fantastic 2010/11 campaign in which they reclaimed their Scudetto after a long drought of seven years. The 34-year-old is confident that his team can build on the last season’s success and have the quality to
win the Champions League.
Milan have not had a great time in the Europe’s most elite competition in the previous three campaigns and Ambrosini wants to end the poor streak this time. The Italian Champions won the competition in the 2006/07 season by beating

Massimiliano Allegri’s men lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the first knockout round of the last years’ competition. Ambrosini believes that his team did not deserve to get knocked out too soon last season because they had a wonderful
team. The former Cesena star added that his team is in par with other four or five top teams in the world.
Talking to the reporters Ambrosini said, "Only Barcelona are in a class of their own at the moment. Milan are part of a group of five or six teams of the same level that can all go a long way as well."
"Last year was probably too early for this team to compete, but we have what it takes to fight for the trophy this term. We are very eager to win the Champions League. We were eliminated in somewhat unfortunate circumstances last
season. You also need a bit of luck to win the trophy."
Ambrosini joined Milan in 1995 and he has made more than 400 appearances for the club thus far. The Italian international has been a part of four Serie A and two UEFA Champions League winning squads for A.C Milan.
