The Rossoneri hits back at critics and confident of winning the Scudetto; hails Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a leader and tips him to play a major role in title race

Milan squandered a healthy lead at the top of the table to sit one-point behind Juventus. The Rossoneri’s recent form has not been impressive, as they have picked up a draw and a defeat in their recent games.
The Italian Champions are under severe criticism for squandering the top position, but Ambrosini has launched an attack on the critics by suggesting that his team is in pole position to fight for the Scudetto. The Rossoneri captain
believes that he cannot understand the criticism on his team, and insists that the Italian Champions are dealt harshly by the media.
The former Cesena star believes that there are still a lot of matches left to play in the league, and Milan can certainly bounce back.
While talking to Sky Sport Italia, the Diavolo skipper enthused:
“Doubt about us has been created in recent times and I don’t think that is right. After all, Juventus are only one point ahead of us… All we are focused on though is doing what is necessary on the field of play. We are not interested
in words.”

“Zlatan is a leader and he has an important role for the team. He never steps back from that responsibility. He was very important to our Scudetto success last season and he can do the same for us again this time around.” Added

Ibrahimovic is leading the goal-scoring charts with 23 strikes to his name so far.
Milan are placed second in the league standings with 67 points from 32 games played so far. Only six matches are left to play until the league season comes to an end, and the title race is expected to go down to the wire.
