The stand in tactician of Juventus has gone on to state that the head coach of the Turin side can watch the game against Fiorentina from the comfort of his house.
The atmosphere surrounding the matches between Fiorentina and Juventus has a tendency to boil over and create animosity in the process. This has brought up the question as to where the head coach of the Turin outfit should be sitting so that he is safe from
any rowdy behaviour that might erupt during the course of the match. His presence might lead to a bust up in the stands, where the tactician would be sitting.
When quizzed about the placement of the former Siena boss, his assistant has gone on to state that Conte could stay at home and watch the match, as he has things under control. He stated that the two shared the same vision and had a telepathic connection
when assessing matches, and he has also familiarised himself with the tactics that are deployed by Conte during matches.
He further remarked that the coach works so hard with the players in the week leading up to the match, and they prepare the match in such depth that they can cope without the presence of Conte in the stands.
However, not to incite any gossip mongers among the media, Carrera specifically said that the coach can decide whatever he wants to, and if he wants to watch from the confines of his sanctuary, then be it.
The technical assistant further went on to state that he was more familiar with his role and mentioned that after spending a month without the presence of the boss, he is more at ease with making decisions as he is better at assessing situations.
He was quoted to have said:
“To be honest, Conte could even decide to stay away and not watch the game. We’ve been working like this for a month now and we have refined our telepathy. We work hard in the week and we know what to do in whatever circumstances. We’re on the same wavelength.
We see football in the same way, we know what we want and that is important.”
Fiorentina and Juventus face each other off on Tuesday on the fifth week of the Serie A season.
