The President of the Nerazzurri outfit has gone on to state that they are not the same force that they were a couple of years back and fans need to be patience.
The Beneamata chief has had to realise it the hard way that his team are not on the same level as the other teams in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926, and he acknowledged that both of the San Siro outfits are not as great as they used to be.
It is hard to realise a club who created history in 2010 by lifting the Champions League trophy, the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia title would not even be considered as favourites in 2012 to be in the race of the Scudetto.  They had an abysmal run during
the last campaign in 2011-12 season as they gave way to one of their worst records, slumping to a streak of results of 10 matches with a solitary win.
This led to the departure of Claudio Ranieri and the introduction of Andrea Stramaccioni as the stand in coach of the Beneamata outfit. After a brief successful stint, his employment was made permanent and he was told to lead the side going into the upcoming
season.
On the topic of the state of the Milan sides these days, Moratti conceded that times were not as fruitful for the clubs as before, and he mentioned that they cannot afford to sign expensive players anymore. He went on to remark on the situation at the clubs
and remarked:
“Milan have sold some important players, while we are gradually introducing youngsters. Neither Milan nor ourselves have a super squad anymore, even if we still hope that results arrive. Unfortunately, we can no longer allow ourselves to sign a super champion
at a cost of €20m.”
Moratti went on to give his backing of the coach after the Rossoneri outfit only managed to win two games from a possible four, and stated:
“I’m optimistic. We have some good material to work with, a capable Coach and a lot of player options. A three-man rearguard? I will leave that decision to those who know more about it than me. The Coach is responsible for that.”
